Hundreds of Youths have taken to the street to protest the kidnap of Nnewi Traditional Ruler, His Highness, Obi Charles Afamefuna Obi.

It will be recalled that Anaedoonline.com reported that Obi Charles Obi was kidnapped on Friday, 12th February, 2021, after attending the burial of the wife of the Traditional Ruler of Orafite, His Royal Highness, Igwe Dr. Dan Udoji.

According to reports of eyewitnesses, the monarch was surrendered by gunmen after shooting sporadically into the air.

Following the news of his abduction, youths in the community have taken to the streets in protest of the abduction of the monarch.

The protesters carrying different placards with various inscriptions such as, “This is abomination” and “Uruagu Says No To Nonsense” are calling for the release of the monarch.

The angry youths who are protesting in different locations in the community are worried about the current state of the monarch who has been held in captivity since Friday.
