His Highness, Obi Charles Afamefuna Obi, the Traditional Ruler in Nnewi, has been finally released by his abductors.
Anaedoonline.ng gathered that the Traditional Ruler returned to his palace, Obi Uruagu-Nnewi Palace, early this morning, Wednesday.

It will be recalled that Obi Afamefuna Charles Obi (Ogidi IV) who is the Traditional Ruler of Uruagu-Nnewi was kidnapped on his way back to Nnewi, on Friday, 12th February, 2021, after attending the burial of the wife of the Traditional Ruler of Orafite, His Royal Highness, Igwe Dr. Dan Udoji.
Reports of a ransom being paid or what led to his eventual release remains tentative at the time of writing.
