The Executive Governor of Enugu State, His Excellency Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi has alleged that the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Mohammad Buhari deliberately placed his calls on holds for hours when he wanted to take order from Mr. President (as the Chief Security Officer of Enugu State) to wage war against the Fulani Herdsmen when Uzo Uwani was under attack by the Fulani herdsmen.
Our impacable sources within the office of the governor confided on newsmen under the condition of anonymous that Governor Ugwuanyi had placed several calls to Mr. President without respond:
“I put a call across to the President, Muhammadu Buhari. I was put on hold for over an hour and 15 minutes”; our sources quoted Governor Ugwuanyi to have said.

Revealing that the Governor had claimed he made the calls in the presence of 13 men and four women, we gathered that Mr. President’s aide had told Governor Ugwuanyi that President Buhari will get back to him when he is free from what he was doing.
“The President, through his aide after 4 hrs, told me that the President will do something about my calls.
“My relative was among the people who witnessed these calls (Sly Idoko). On hearing that the police have not arrived at Uzo Uwani, I called GOC 82 Division of the Nigeria Army for help. I was referred to the presidency again. This time around, I was put on hold for nearly 2hrs again”; Governor alleged to have said.

Continuing, the Chief Servant of Enugu State allegedly stated; “while waiting to speak to Mr. President, news came in that the attack I was planning to prevent has actually taken place, within an hour after the Fulani coordinated attacks, the Commissioner of Police and GOC 82 Division of the Nigeria Army, Enugu who referred me to the President mobilised their men to stop retaliation”
Effort made to speak with the first class citizen of Enugu State on the matter failed as we couldn’t easteblish contact with him as a result of poor network.
