In a statement he made available to newsmen on Tuesday, the cleric said he was speaking God’s mind on the gubernatorial election that comes up in November 2021.
He said that victory is between candidates of the People Democratic Party (PDP) and All progressive grand alliance (APGA)
According to him, APGA will pull the crowd if they present Hon. Chukwuma Umeoji as the candidate but added that the PDP stands a better chance if they present Godwin Maduka as the candidate.
Speaking further, Omotosho said that the candidate of the Young People Party, YPP, Ifeanyi Ubah, is the candidate that can shake the ground for the party but he will not win.
He stated that the All Progressives Congress, APC, will want to present Chief George Moghalu, but added that the hand of the Lord is not on him..
The clergyman pointed out the governorship election will be very tough, adding, “If APGA wants to win the election, they should use Chukwuma Umeoji.”
He said if the ruling party presents any other candidate, “PDP will win the election.”
This is coming amidst a meeting purportedly held in Enugu by a group priding itself as Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youths, South-East zone.

On Thursday, In a statement by Mazi Okwu Nnabuike, the President-General of OYC, and Comrade Obinna Achionye the Secretary-General, they cautioned politicians to be wary of people using the name of the organization to defraud them.
He said the group is led by one Mazi Okpalaezeukwu does not exist and should be discountenanced.
“It has come to our attention that some people are desperately using the name of Ohanaeze Youth Council to deceive politicians in Anambra State.
“We want to state categorically that there is nothing like Ohanaeze South East in the structure of the apex Igbo socio-cultural organization.
“Ohanaeze is organized from Local Government, State and then the national level. There is, therefore, nothing like Ohanaeze’s South-East zone.
“This was merely a name concocted to deceive politicians in Anambra State ahead of the November guber election. We are urging the masses not to do anything with any group by that name. The leader of that group, Mr. Okpalaezeukwu from Anambra State was a former Youth leader of the OYC in Anambra State, but his tenure long expired in January 2021, having been elected in 2017.

“We, therefore, urged the good people of Anambra State, Ndigbo and Nigerians in general not to be deceived by jobbers,” Okwu stated.
