At about 623hrs of Sunday 9th of May 2021, Ozubulu Vigilantee (OVG) Office along Udoji road was attacked by a group of unknown gunmen killing one of the Vigilantee men and a suspect under custody, they also set the office and vehicles ablaze.
The President General (PG) of Ozubulu Amb. Peter Uzokwe narrowly escaped death in the hands of the unknown gunmen.

Amb. Uzokwe was billed to address the men and women of the Ozubulu Vigilantee Services over the security situation in the State when the unknown gunmen double-crossed his car and started shooting sporadically. He managed to escape unhurt.
