 The Police in Imo State has confirmed the killing of two unknown gunmen in a joint operation carried out by the Nigerian Army, Air Force and the Police in the State. CP Abutu Yaro, the Commissioner of Police in the State confirmed the incident on Thursday.

Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom says any Nigerian opposed to the position of Southern Governors regarding the ban on open grazing of cattle has a hidden agenda. Governor Ortom spoke on Thursday at the Holy Ghost Parish Hall, Makurdi during an address on the occasion of ‘Media Week and Communications Day 2021’, organised by the Catholic Diocese of Makurdi.

The north is not happy with the decision of Southern Governors to ban open cattle grazing in the entire 17 southern states of the country. Prof. Usman Yusuf, former executive secretary of the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS), blamed the southern governors for not consulting with Fulani leaders before they made such decision, Anaedoonline.ng reports.
