Anambra 2021: Nonso Smart Okafor Optimistic Of Clinching APGA Ticket, Consult Anaocha LGA APGA

Ahead of the June 23rd All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) Governorship primary election, Nonso Smart Okafor has expressed optimism in winning the party’s ticket.

The lawmaker who was at Anaocha Local Government Area, today, 17th May, 2021, to consult the entire wards and L.G.A executives of All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) in the LGA, has expressed optimism in picking the party’s ticket for the 2021 Governorship elections.

Speaking to party faithfuls, Hon. Nonso Smart Okafor urged potential party delegates who he believes will be men and women of integrity to overlook sentiments and primordial interest to elect a candidate that will best represent the party’s interest.

He said that his confidence stems from the fact that beyond his competence, if the primary election is conducted free and fair, the delegates who are in the grassroots, will look in his direction, noting that even if he loses the primary election, he will support the winner.

According to him, the party can only get it right if delegates in the primary election emerge from the party structure at the ward level and not a particular support group as it is being speculated, advising the party leadership not to be deceived.

Speaking on some of his plans, he said that most communities in Anaocha L.G.A have largely developed through Self-help, revealing that through his VISA Economy, his administration will leverage on the agricultural and tourism potentials of the L.G.A to expand development in the state.

On his part, the lawmaker representing Anaocha 11 in Anambra State House of Assembly, Hon. Ejike Okechukwu said that the Governorship Aspirant is one of the best lawmakers in Anambra State, noting that he has the requisite experience and capacity to govern the state.
