Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero, The Emir of Kano, has said there is the need for collective prayers from all the teeming masses for the country to confront the challenges of banditry, kidnapping, insurgency, and other social ills bedeviling it.

He, however, stated that without peaceful co-existence there will be no improvement, hence the need for all citizens to always give peace a chance to reign.

Emir of Kano asserted on Thursday during the visit of the Minister of State for Transportation, Senator Gbmisola Saraki, on the sidelines of the Kano Outreach Learning Centre’s official commissioning Dawakin-kudu.

While commissioning the center at Dawakin-Kudu town, Senator Saraki said that with the establishment of the center in Kano, teeming unemployed youths in the entire North West zone will immediately benefit from the skills acquisition programs offered the center.

She also disclosed that the center will help alleviate poverty from the zone, adding that poverty has made youths vulnerable to social ills bedeviling the country.

In his remarks, Governor Abdullahi Ganduje, represented by his Deputy, Dr. Nasiru Gawuna, commended the ministry of transport to bring the center to Kano.

Governor Ganduje promised that the state government will send many youths to the center to acquire skills.

Also speaking at the event, Director-General of the Nigerian Institute of Transport Technology (NITT) Zaria, Dr. Bayero Salih Farah, noted that if youths properly harness opportunities abound at the center, they could be employers of labor rather than chasing after seemingly elusive white-collar jobs.
