EDO: Police Uncover Seven Cells Operated By IPOB

On Wednesday, The Nigerian Police discovered seven structures believed to be cells of the proscribed Indigenous Peoples of Biafra in two senatorial districts of Edo State.

The statement was revealed by Deputy Inspector General of Police, South-South Zone of Operation Restore Peace, DIG Moses Jitoboh at a stakeholder meeting in Benin City.

According to Vanguard, Jitoboh identified the areas as Ologbo, Okhuae, Igbanke, Iguolaba, Abudu in Edo South senatorial district and Igueben and Ubiaja in Edo Central senatorial district.

Commending his operatives for maintaining a peaceful atmosphere in Edo, the DIG reassured the public that the Police were ready to ensure there was no breakdown of law and order in the zone.
