Ohanaeze Endorse Anambra South For Governor

In a Town Hall meeting today Wednesday bthe 9th of June 2021, held at Anaedo Hall Nnewi Anambra State,the Stakeholders, Comprising of the Traditional Institution, the Clergy, Political Parties, Town Unions Executives and various Interest Groups, it was unanimously agreed that it is the turn of Anambra South to produce the next Governor of Anambra State.

In his opening remark, the Vice Chairman of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide Chief Damian Ogene stated that Anambra Central under Mr. Peter Obi, enjoyed 8 years and as is well known that the incumbent Governor,Chief Willie Obiano from Anambra North is about to complete his 8 years.

He posited that it is only logical and justifiable that Anambra South should without question produce the next Governor. He therefore called on the Aspirants from other Zones outside Anambra South to defer their ambition and wait for their own turn.

In his contribution,an APGA Aspirant,Chief Rommy Okoli,a former Chairman of Nnewi South LGA called on the people of Anambra State to politically sanction any body contesting the election outside Anambra South. He said that such a Politician should be treated as “a leprous,canterkerous and infectious Individual who should be properly dealt with.”.

Speaker after speaker spoke including the former Deputy Governor of Anambra State, Dame Virgy Etiaba, called on Anambrarians to concede the position to Anambra South. She stated that she was at various meetings where Resolutions were made zoning the position to Anambra South.

At the end of the Town Hall meeting, it was agreed that all the attendees should go back to their respective Constituencies and make the broadcast that nobody should vote for any Aspirant or Candidate outside Anambra State.
