Moghalu said that it was therefore funny that any rational person would bandy or publish or announce anything as being from the party’s primary election that was supposed to hold June 26, which up till now was yet to be conducted.

The aspirants, according to Moghalu wish to tell the whole world, especially our great party the APC that there was no election of any kind in the whole 326 wards of Anambra state on June 26, 2021. It’s a well known fact that whatever that happened in any primary election greatly affects the main election anywhere.

“It’s very embarrassing that the Anambra state governorship primary committee specially set up by the party headquarters and headed by a sitting governor will come and announce a fake result of an election that did not hold.

Speaking in the same manner, the APC Elders For n the state, led by Chief Innocent Obi disclosed that general reports from all over the state indicated that there was neither any election materials nor any official that came to any of the designated locations for the primary election.

In a two-page press statement issued and signed by the Director of Media and Publicity of the Forum, Chief Joe Offorkansi tiled “Re-Towards a credible APC Primary Election in Anambra state”, noted that sequel to a press conference by APC Elders Forum on June 23,2021 wish to express great concern that reports all over the media and complaints by virtually all the governorship aspirants over the June 26,2921 primary election which didn’t hold anywhere.

The picture of the general complain depicts the existence of undemocratic practices in the said primary election, as numerous reports indicated that election was not held in any of the 326 Wards in the state. The charade could least be described by anyone as fair, credible or acceptable by any of the thousands of our party members who trooped our to cast their votes for any of the 14 aspirants.

This therefore painted any reported outcome of the primary election as dubious. Because in actual fact there was no primary election.

We the members of the APC Elders Forum in the state call on the National and state executives to urgently review the primary election and create a medium for appropriate measures to be taken in ensuring that all aspirants re-align their commitment to the party for unity of purpose.

The Forum cautioned that “except urgent steps are taken for understanding and cooperation, the party may experience very unpleasant situation too difficult to ameliorate”.
