Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari has crossed 30,000 followers on Indian micro-blogging platform, Koo, amidst the continued ban of Twitter in the country.

The suspension followed Twitter’s removal of Buhari’s ‘abusive’ civil war post, in which the president warned persons behind arson attacks on electoral offices and police stations in the South East region of a potential repeat of the 1967 Biafran Civil War.

In his latest post on Sunday, Buhari assured the people of the Niger Delta region that the board of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) would soon be inaugurated.

He said, “Based on the mismanagement that had previously bedeviled the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), a forensic audit was set up and the result is expected by the end of July, 2021.

“I want to assure the people of the Niger Delta and all Nigerians that as soon as the forensic audit report is submitted and accepted, the NDDC Board will be inaugurated.”
