Deji Adeyanju, The Convener of Concerned Nigerians movement, has called on the Inspector-General of Police, Usman Baba, to save the reputation of the Nigerian police following the allegations leveled against a Deputy Commissioner of Police, Abba Kyari.

The United States District Court for the Central District of California had issued an arrest warrant for Kyari for his alleged role in a $1m scam allegedly perpetrated by suspect Ramon Abbas, popularly known as Hushpuppi.

Anaedoonline.ng recalls that Hushpuppi claimed that he used Kyari to arrest and jail a “co-conspirator,” Chibuzo Vincent after the latter threatened to expose an alleged $1m fraud committed against a Qatari businessman.

Meanwhile, the IGP has ordered a probe of Kyari after a United States court issued an arrest warrant for his alleged links to Hushpuppi.
