Senator Shehu Sani, a former Kaduna Central legislator, has stated why he would never be friends with Kaduna State Governor Nasir-El-Rufai.

The gubernatorial candidate said in an interview with Newsmen over the weekend that he and El-Rufai have different political histories, which is why they can’t be friends.

El-Rufai, according to the People Democratic Party (PDP) leader, comes from the neoliberal capitalist philosophical order, whereas he hails from a leftist socialist background.

Former legislators have accused APC governors of acting like emperors who seek to tell the party and its members what to do.

“The guy in charge of the Kaduna administration and I have different political backgrounds,” he remarked.
He comes from a neoliberal capitalist philosophical framework, while I come from a leftist socialist background, as far as I can tell.

“I think I have never seen him since he was sworn in, save for the day he came to condole me when my mother died; three days later, he went to the media to attack me.”

“As a result, I haven’t gone to the Kaduna State Government House in over four years, and we never sat at the same table throughout my four years as senator.”

It was evident that governors who rose to power in the APC wanted to be emperors, dictating to the party and to everyone.
You are a member of the party if they like you, and you are not a member of the party if they don’t.

“I can’t be a part of an organization where I have to be servile, where I have to give up my conscience, my convictions so that one guy can sit you down and tell you what he wants.”

“I realize that in Nigeria’s political spectrum, if you want to live, you keep your mouth quiet when things go wrong and accept things even if they aren’t right.

“I cannot be a senator who refuses to advocate for my constituents on the National Assembly floor because I don’t want to disgrace the state or federal governments.”
