The trial of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the infamous leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), for terrorism, treason, incitement, and operating an unlawful organisation, among other charges, will continue today.

According to Anaedoonline.ng, the pro-Biafra activist is being tried by Justice Binta Nyako of the Federal High Court in Abuja on accusations presented by the Nigerian government.

Justice Nyako had requested that Kanu be allowed to change his clothes through the Department of State Services (DSS).

The secret police had also been told by the trial judge not to take over the court premises during the trial.
Nnamdi Kanu had pleaded “not guilty” to the allegations leveled against him during the last court session.

Nnamdi Kanu’s lawyer Mike Ozekhome on Wednesday condemned the DSS refusal to allow his client change his clothes.
