Senator Bola Tinubu, a former Governor of Lagos State, has recognized two significant characteristics of former President Olusegun Obasanjo as he approaches 85 years old.
Obasanjo, he continued, is brave and fearless, and he will continue to be such because it is the core of his character.
Tinubu praised Obasanjo for his patriotism and commitment to the country’s unity in a congratulatory message sent on Saturday in Lagos by his Media Aide, Mr Tunde Rahman.
What Obasanjo Said About Nigeria Ahead of Independence
“The former president had remained strong, agile, and committed to the greatness of our dear nation,” the All Progressives Congress (APC) stalwart said.
He added that, while he disagreed with Obasanjo on major substantive matters at times, the former president had made countless valuable contributions to the country.
“Our discussions were lively, but always professional and free of personal animosity.
“Through it all, I’ve grown to admire his patriotism and remarkable work ethic.”
“President Obasanjo has labored relentlessly for Nigeria, Africa, and the black people, earning his stripes as a world leader.”

He remarked, “Baba Obasanjo is brave and fearless and will continue to be such, since it is the core of his character.”
Tinubu prayed to God Almighty to keep Obasanjo for many more years and that God grants him good health and ceaseless energy to continue to be of service to the country he loves so dearly.
