Sunday ‘Igboho’ Adeyemo, a Yoruba Nation agitator, has been released, according to Afenifere, a pan-Yoruba socio-political group.

According to Anaedoonline.ng, the Benin Republic government has released the Yoruba Nation activist to Professor Banji Akintoye, the head of Ilana Omo Oodua Worldwide.

Maxwell Adeleye, the Communications Secretary to Ilana Omo Oodua Worldwide, confirmed this in a statement to Anaedoonline.ng on Monday.

Afenifere Spokesman, Jare Ajayi, reacted to the news by calling Sunday Igboho’s release a triumph for self-determination and praising the activist’s attorneys in Nigeria and Benin Republic.

In a chat with Newsmen on Monday, Ajayi stated that Afenifere and indeed Yoruba people as a whole are very happy that Sunday has been released from detention.
