According to Anaedoonline.ng, Nigerians have flocked to social media to praise the Federal Government of Nigeria for supporting an indigenous automobile manufacturing firm, Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing (IVM).
This comes after the Federal Fire Service shared fleets of ambulance buses purchased from the vehicle maker on its social media website.
The federal government’s action comes after the Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide called on the federal government to demonstrate a commitment to supporting locally created items if the country’s economic fortunes are to improve.

“The implication is that if President Muhammadu Buhari, 36 State governors, National Assembly members, ministers, and others adopt the Soludo Model by patronizing local goods and services such as Medicare, schools, cars, foods, and so on, the regrettable tailspin of the Nigerian economy, perhaps, may be reversed,” says the group’s spokesman, Alex Ogbonnia.
