According to the former governor of Lagos State, he believes they can help him realize his lifelong goal.

The APC stalwart also revealed that his ambition to step on toes, including the president’s, has not blinded him.

“I informed Mr. President that my desire is not blind to the point where I will stomp on his toes,” Tinubu stated. I only want to put my feet in his shoes, not on his toes.

“I implore you to consider my capabilities and expertise.” I believe I am the only person who has served in the Senate, served as a governor, and aspired to be President.”

Ahmed Lawan, speaking on behalf of the MPs, said they are all aware of Tinubu’s capabilities.

He said: “The APC Caucus in the Senate is the central pillar of the party. From 2019 when we were voted in, this APC caucus has remained true to the ideals of our party.

“2023 is going to be defined by what we do between now and then and what we have done between 2015 and now. That means we have to remain focused as an administration and United as a party.”

The Senate President recalled that Tinubu performed well as a governor, adding that he was also a member of the National Assembly.
