The Senate caucus of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has pledged its support to Asiwaju Bola Tinubu in his aspiration to become the party’s presidential candidate in 2023 and succeed President Muhammadu Buhari.
Senators expressed their support to Tinubu at a meeting with him at the National Assembly Complex in Abuja on Wednesday.
Senate President Ahmad Lawan led the APC senators to the meeting.

According to Anaedoonline.ng, during his meeting with parliamentarians, Tinubu said that he informed President Muhammadu Buhari that he would not stomp on his toes.
Bola Tinubu, speaking during the gathering, said Senate President Ahmed Lawan has demonstrated exceptional leadership since assuming the leadership of the National Assembly.
He added that he came seeking the APC Senators’ advice, collaboration, and support.
According to the former governor of Lagos State, he believes they can help him realize his lifelong goal.
The APC stalwart also disclosed that his eagerness to trample on toes, especially the president’s, has not blinded him.

Lawan responded by assuring the former Lagos State Governor that the Senators were behind him and believed in his ambitions.
