AdvoKC, a youth-led civic-tech organization, has established a digital website to follow Anambra State Governor-elect Prof Charles Soludo’s campaign promises.

This was revealed in a statement written by Abiola Durodola, AdvoKC’s Co-Founder/Team Lead.

The portal, according to the organization, would track the former CBN Governor’s election pledges and provide citizens with a forum to track their progress.

“The tool known as ‘SoludoMeter’ is the first digital sub-national promise tracker in Nigeria that tracks government activity in a state to enhance accountability,” according to AdvoKC.

“The SoludoMeter dashboard will tell residents and lawmakers on Soludo’s campaign pledges that have been met, violated, stalled, or are in the works.” Citizens may also read short explanatory articles by clicking on each of the commitments to encourage participation in government across the state.

The organization claims that it combed through Soludo’s manifesto, debate videos, rallies, and interviews to gather his 100 most essential pledges before constructing the digital platform.

As a result, “the organization will keep track of major pledges that have an impact on the socioeconomic status of almost 8 million Anambra residents.”

“Furthermore, this is AdvoKC’s flagship project as the organisation builds on the existing BuhariMeter and the Legislative Agenda Meter and is committed to promoting accountability through this project,” the statement read.

Professor Charles Soludo was elected Governor of Anambra State alongside his running mate, Dr Gilbert Onyekachukwu Ibezim, on the platform of All Progressive Grand Alliance at the November 6, 2021, election held in the state.
