The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has ordered students to begin street protests against the Academic Staff Union of Universities’ ongoing strike action (ASUU).

Comrade Com Sunday Asefon instructed the students to bring their cooking pots, mattresses, and other belongings to Abuja, the nation’s capital city, and occupy the streets.

The command was sent to the union’s zonal coordinators in a letter headlined “Urgent Notice Of Immediate Commencement Of Mobilization,” dated March 25, 2022.
