Nzuko Ora Nnewi Cautions Its PRO Over False Claim, Apologies Over Unruly Behavior

The leadership of Nnewi Town Union populary known as Nzuko Ora Nnewi has cautioned its Public Relations Officers over false and inaccurate information it releases to the public without due authorization.

The caution was contained in a Press Statement sent to Anaedoonline.

“The attention of the Leadership of Nzuko Ora Nnewi and Its Executives has been drawn to a statement purportedly written by Engr Obiorah Okoye, the Public Relations Officer of Nzuko Ora Nnewi.

The Leadership frowns at the fallacious statement made by the said PRO and all other unauthorized statements being released by the said PRO without authorization from the Executive body.

Hence, the Leadership of Nzuko Ora Nnewi led by Maduka Atuenyi wishes to use this medium to inform the people of Nnewi to disregard the statement released by its PRO on the release of the PG which he is being economical with the truth.

While the Leadership appreciates the efforts made by Ndi Nnewi and some highly placed Individuals in Nnewi led by Igwe Nnewi, Chief Cletus Ibeto, Chief George Muoghalu, Senator Ifeanyi Ubah, Hon Chris Azubogu, Hon Samben Nwosu just to mention but a few, on their intervention to ensure the release of the PG from the DSS Custody, the Leadership equally frowns at the politicization of his release by Senator Ifeanyi Ubah to downplay the great efforts made by others.

For record purposes, the Vice Chairman of Nzuko Ora, Prince Jude Osumuo signed the bail bond on the release of the PG and was witnessed by the Obi of Nnewichi, HRM Obi George Onyekaba and the Former PG of Nnewi, Hon Agu Onyeka. Therefore the Leadership of Nzuko Ora urges Ndi Nnewi to disregard the statement of the PG release credited to its PRO as he is doing the bidding of his paymaster.

Furthermore, the Leadership is urging those who are politicizing the release of its PG in other to score cheap political points to desist from doing so.

Once more the Leadership is using this medium to thank Ndi Nnewi for all their Goodwill message and solidarity shown to the PG during the period of his detention and release. The PG will address Nnewi in due time.

However in yet another Press Release, the Vice Chairman of Nzuko Ora Nnewi apologized to Ndi Nnewi on the misleading information being published by the PRO. See below the Press Statement

APOLOGY OVER THE UNUSUAL BEHAVIOUR OF NZUKO ORA NNEWI’S PRO

Nzuko Ora Nnewi wishes to apologize to the ndi Nnewi over the disgraceful activities of our PRO Engr Obiora Okoye, who has lost control of decency as he dishes out misinformation and half truths on the ordeal of our PG, Dr Maduka Atueyi.

Many members of the EXCO are embarrassed at the level of our PRO’s disgraceful descent into using his office for hero worshipping of his paymasters and exposing security and sensitive information. Every discerning mind could read in between the lines as to how he has turned the travails of our PG into an opportunity to ingratiate himself to his paymasters.

Now that Dr. Maduka Atueyi is back, he will at his own time, use his own mouth to brief ndi Nnewi on his experience while he was at the DSS detention and to correct the highly erroneous accounts of the events while in and out of detention as being dished out by our PRO. I never seen something like this.

It is important to note that many notable Nnewi sons and daughters of Nnewi rose to the occasion, each pulling their strings and making their contacts to ensure that our PG was released. The roles of our Igwe and the three Obis, the efforts of Chief Dr Cletus Ibeto, Chief George Moughalu, Hon. Chris Azubogu, Prince Samben Nwosu and many others who worked silently for the released of our PG are noted and appreciated by Nzuko Ora Nnewi. It is up to the PG to tell our people the nature of the roles played by everyone as against what the PRO has wronged apportioned.

I believe that it is important to inform ndi Nnewi that I, Jude Osumuo, the vice president of Nzuko Ora Nnewi, signed the release bond for the PG while the Obi Onyekaba of Nnewichi and the former PG Nzuoka Ora, Chief Agu Onyeka witnessed. In effect, our PG Dr. Maduka Atueyi was released to Igwe Nnewi represented by me being the next ranking officer to PG Nzuko Ora and witnessed by the others as aforementioned. It then beats commonsense when compared to the account of PRO who forgot to state the PG insisted being driven home to Nnewi from Awka by Nzuko Ora’s Secretary, Hon Echezona Anazodo.

It is our firm belief that the recent ordeal of our PG will not dampen his zeal to serve our great town as he has been doing. I also urge ndi Nnewi to disregard all misinformation and tissue of lies being peddled by the PRO Nzuko Ora which we have since realized are for vain glorification of his paymasters. It is unnecessary. It should not be encouraged.
