Abdullahi Adamu, the newly-elected National Chairman of the governing All Progressives Congress (APC), has claimed that God was instrumental in his election.

According to Anaedoonline.ng, Adamu was elected national chairman of the APC during the party’s national convention on March 26 at Abuja’s Eagles Square.

After a handover ceremony organized by former Yobe State Governor Mai Mala-Buni, Adamu took up his new job on Wednesday.

Following the removal of Comrade Adams Oshiomhole in 2020, Buni was named Chairman, Caretaker, and Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC).

“It is only through God that we have emerged as the NWC,” Adamu stated of his ascension to the chairmanship of the APC. It was Almighty God’s doing, not ours, that made all of this possible.

“I had no idea a month ago that I would become the chairman of the APC.” Today, I am receiving the instrument.

“Only God is capable of accomplishing this.” It’s neither my personal wisdom nor my charm that makes the difference. It’s possible that there will be components on the way.”

President Muhammadu Buhari was commended by the congressman for his dedication to the party’s development.

The chairman noted that the APC would begin work on the 2023 general elections in earnest.
