The wife of Nigeria’s former Senate President, His Excellency Dr. Akweke Nwafor-Orizu, is dead.
Her Excellency, Lady Grace Nwafor Orizu (Nwakaku), died late Thursday.
Lady Grace is the mother of Hon Prince Nnamsom Nwafor-Orizu, Former Chairman Anambra State Committee on Petroleum, and Senior Special Assistant to the former Governor of Anambra State, Willie Obiano, on Youth Empowerment, Mobilization, and Strategy.

She is also the mother of Dr. Pharm Chisolu Okoli (Née Nwafor-Orizu) one of the top Directors in Nnamdi Azikiwe Teaching Hospital.
Lady Grace whose husband was the uncle of Nnewi Traditional Ruler, His Royal Highness Igwe Dr. Kenneth Onyeneke Orizu III, dies at age of 75.
Lady Grace Nwafor Orizu (Nwakaku), is the ninth wife of His Excellency, Dr. Abyssinia Akweke Nwafor Orizu, who was Nigeria’s second Senate President from November 1960 to January 1966 and also first Acting President of Nigeria from late 1965 until the military coup of January 1966.
