President Muhammadu Buhari of Nigeria has asked certain leaders of the governing All Progressives Congress (APC) to join him in breaking the Ramadan fast on Tuesday.

The National Leader of the APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, was among those invited to the dinner, according to an invitation letter signed by the President’s Chief of Staff, Professor Ibrahim Gambari, and seen by a Naija News journalist.

Senator Abdullahi Adamu, the APC’s National Chairman, received the letter.

The dinner is set to begin at 6.30 p.m. at the Presidential Banquet Hall of the State House in Abuja, but those invited should arrive at the State House Conference Centre by 4.30 p.m. for a Rapid Covid-19 test before the dinner meeting.

Former APC National Chairmen John Oyegun and Adams Oshiomhole, as well as former Adamawa State Governor Murtala Nyako and former Ogun Governor Olusegun Osoba, are among the invited guests.

Former APC interim chairman Chief Bisi Akande, former Borno Governor Ali Modu-Sheriff, former Zamfara Governor Ahmed Yerima, former Sokoto Governor Aliyu Wamako, former Edo Governor Oserheimen Osunbor, former Yobe Governor Bukar Ibrahim, Senators Lawal Shuaibu, Aba Aji, Alh. Tijjani Tumsah, Ambassador Fati Bala, Hon. Abubakar Guru, and Alhaji Nasiru Danu were also invited.

The letter reads: “I write to inform you that the President Muhammadu Buhari, has directed that invitation be extended to the attached list of the leadership of the All Progressives Congress to join the President to break Ramadan fast on Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at 1830 hours in the Presidential Banquet Hall, State House, Abuja.

“In this regard, you are kindly requested to invite them to attend. The leaders are to arrive the Pilot Gate at 1630 hours for Rapid Covid-19 testing at the State House Conference Centre and be seated at the venue by 1800 hours.”
