Amidst APC Nomination Form Saga, Jonathan Gets Fresh International Appointment

Dr. Goodluck Jonathan, the former President of Nigeria, has been named to the European Corporate Council on Africa and the Middle East’s international advisory board (ECAM Council).

According to Anaedoonline.ng, Jonathan is the first sub-Saharan African leader to be selected to the ECAM Council’s board of directors.

The former Nigerian president’s nomination was announced in a letter from the Chairman of the ECAM Council, Dr. Kamel Ghribi, to his office, which says in part, “For your knowledge, the Chairman of the ECAM Council, Dr. Kamel Ghribi, is well acquainted with Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan.” Dr. Ghribi would be glad to join the ECAM Council’s worldwide advisory board, which we are forming.”

It added that the Council was “founded with the purpose of developing realistic, effective and long-lasting solutions for more sustainable healthcare systems, with a special focus on the common issues affecting the Southern hemisphere of the globe.”

ECAM was founded with the primary goal of developing feasible, effective, and long-lasting solutions for more sustainable healthcare and education systems throughout Africa and the MENA (Middle East and North Africa) region, according to information obtained by Newsmen from the organization’s website.

The ECAM Council’s mission is to bring together academics, diplomats, politicians, and pundits from all walks of life and create a forum for discussion and debate.

Tony Blair, former British Prime Minister, José Manuel Barroso, former President of the European Commission, Nayef Falah Al-Hajraf, Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, and Amani Abou-Zeid, African Union Commission Commissioner for Infrastructure and Energy (AUC).
