Former Lagos State Governor Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has won the presidential nomination of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The APC national leader received 1,271 votes, defeating 13 other candidates, including Rotimi Ameachi, a former Transport Minister, and Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, who received 316 and 235 votes, respectively.
According to Anaedoonline.ng, Tinubu would face PDP presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar, Labour Party’s Peter Obi, and NNPP’s Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso if he wins.

Tinubu beat Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, former Minister of Transportation Rotimi Amaechi, and Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello, as well as Senate President Ahmad Lawan, Governor David Umahi, Governor Ben Ayade, Pastor Tunde Bakare, and Senator Sani Yerima.
Fourteen aspirants in the race were Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba, Pastor Tunde Bakare, Mr Ahmed Rufai, Senator Rochas Okorocha, Mr Jack Rich, Gov. Ben Ayade, Gov. David Umuahi, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, Sen. Ahmed Yarima, Dr Ahmed Lawal, Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo, Mr Rotimi Amaechi, Gov. Yahaya Bello and Mr Ogbonnaya Onu.
Nine aspirants had earlier withdrawn from the race including Mrs Uju Kennedy-Ohnenye, Dr Felix Nicholas, former Gov. Godswill Akpabio, former Gov. Ibikunle Amosun, and former Speaker Dimeji Bankole, Sen. Ajayi Boroffice, Gov. Muhammad Badaru, Sen. Ken Nnamani and Gov. Kayode Fayemi.
