Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State is expected to be announced as Atiku Abubakar’s running partner by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
According to Anaedoonline.ng, Okowa defeated Governor Nyesom Wike, who is favored by Atiku to run on his ticket.
Okowa’s selection as the PDP’s running mate is expected to be announced within the next few hours, according to reports.
According to Arise TV, the PDP and Atiku have decided on Okowa as their candidate.

Recall that the PDP National Working Committee endorsed Wike as Atiku Abubakar’s running mate during their meeting on Wednesday.
The NWC endorsed a report by the panel that had previously recommended Wike for the VP ticket by a vote of 13-3.
According to sources, members of the PDP NWC informed Atiku of their choice.
According to Anaedoonline.ng, a PDP advisory body tasked with selecting Atiku’s running mate had already voted in favor of Wike over Governor Okowa and Governor Emmanuel.
