Reactions followed the arrival in Port Harcourt, the state capital, of both Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike and Rotimi Amaechi, the former transportation minister.
According to an earlier report from Anaedoonline.ng, Wike arrived at Port Harcourt International Airport following a holiday in Turkey while the Peoples Democratic Party was in disarray (PDP).
On Saturday afternoon, the governor of Rivers State traveled to Port Harcourt with his colleague from Abia State, Okezie Ikpeazu.

At the airport, the two governors were greeted cordially by their staff members and backers.
APC state secretariat in the state after returning from days spent traveling abroad. Amaechi arrived at Port Harcourt International Airport, Omagwa.
Amaechi told his supporters that they must vote for the APC regardless of how they feel about the results of the primaries.
