2023 Presidency: Peter Obi Meets EU Officials In Abuja (Photos)

Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s (LP) candidate for president, met with an EU mission in Abuja on Friday.

According to Anaedoonline.ng, Rita Laranjinha, the managing director of the European External Action Service’s Africa Directorate, and a few of her colleagues met with Obi.

During the discussion, the LP presidential candidate and the EU representatives discussed issues of relevance to both Nigeria and the European Union.

Oseloka Obaze, a past candidate for governor of Anambra, and Doyin Okupe, an LP chieftain, joined Obi to the meeting.

Prior to that, Obi had a meeting with Prof. Ango Abdullahi, the head of the Northern Elders Forum.

Obi stated that he met with Abdullahi on Friday to ask for his blessings and fatherly guidance in presenting the cause for his visit.

He added that he also spoke with the wise man about various political matters.

The former governor of Anambra State also found time to travel to Dr. Yusuf Datti Baba Ahmed’s hometown, the party’s vice presidential candidate.

Obi while addressing newsmen after the visit said, “I came to get blessings and fatherly advice as well as discuss some political issues with the elder statesman.

“This is in view of his position, especially in the north and his persistent agitation for good democratic leadership in the country.”

Obi added that part of what was discussed was how to make Nigeria a productive nation.
