See What Secondus Said After INEC Declared Adeleke Winner

Senator Ademola Adeleke’s election as the next governor of Osun State has been praised by Prince Uche Secondus, the former national chairman of the People’s Democratic Party.

According to an earlier report by Anaedoonline.ng, Adeleke was named the victor of the Osun governorship race on Sunday by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Gboyega Oyetola, the incumbent governor and APC candidate, received 375,027 votes, losing to PDP candidate Adeleke, who received 403,371 votes.

Secondus congratulated Senator Adeleke on his well-deserved victory in a statement released on Sunday under the title “Osun Decides: Secondus Congratulates Adeleke” and signed by his spokesman, Ike Abonyi.

According to him, the triumph is a resounding confirmation and illustration of the goodwill of the populace toward the Adeleke family’s contributions to the state’s growth.

Secondus applauded the Osun people for defending democracy by being adamant that their ballots were counted.

Additionally, he expressed his gratitude to other party members who made significant contributions to the sweet victory, including Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, Atiku Abubakar, and his vice presidential running mate.

The statement partly read, “The former National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Prince Uche Secondus has congratulated Governor-elect Senator Ademola Adeleke on his well-deserved victory at the Saturday’s Osun state Governorship elections.

“Prince Secondus said that the victory is a clear affirmation and demonstration of the people’s goodwill in appreciation of the efforts of the Adeleke family in the development of the state.

“The former National also lavished praises for all those who contributed greatly to the sweet victory in particular, the PDP 2023 Presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar and his Vice Presidential candidate, Governor Ifeanyi Okowa.

“Prince Secondus also praised the Osun people for standing up for democracy through their avowed determination to ensure that their votes counted.

“By this brave and courageous act, Osun people have shown their determination to take their collective destiny into their own hands and for this PDP and all lovers of democracy are proud of them.”
