Hon. Ishaya Bakano, the deputy leader of the Song Local Government Legislative Council in Adamawa State, was assassinated by a group of armed men early on Saturday.
Since the assassins who broke into Hon. Ishaya’s Bannga home in the early hours of Saturday departed the scene soon after shooting him to death, it is thought that he was the intended target of the assassination. Hon. Ishaya was the representative for Gudu Mboi Ward.
A family source who spoke to our reporter, said the gunmen also shot the son of the deceased, and that he is currently receiving treatment at Song hospital.
The Police Public Relations Officer, Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, confirmed the incident to ANAEDOONLINE.NG Metro.

The spokesman said the incident happened in the early hours of today, and that the security are doing everything possible to arrest the suspects.
