Nigerians Fault Ice Prince In Abduction Saga With Nigerian Police

The arrest of Ice Prince, better known by his stage name Ice Prince Zamani, is being followed by reactions.

According to earlier reports from Anaedoonline.ng, the 35-year-old musician was detained in a Lagos court and would be charged with driving without license plates and kidnapping a police officer.

Speaking on the incident, Lagos Police Public Relations Officer Benjamin Hundeyin claimed that the rapper punched the officer who challenged him and threatened to throw him into a river after being found driving without a license.

Sharing photo of the rapper on the microblogging platform, Twitter, Ben wrote; ”At 3am today, @Iceprincezamani was stopped for driving without license plates. He agreed to be taken to the station. He, thereafter, abducted the police officer in his car, assaulted him and threatened to throw him in the river. He has been arrested and would be arraigned today.”
