He said, “Police arrived at the scene but the mob had fled. The investigation has commenced.”

The police spokeswoman criticized the incident and claimed that the agency is concerned about how to halt the antiquated and illegal practice.

In Nigeria, Hundeyin said that jungle justice was a criminal matter and urged the public to put a stop to the crime. Instead, he advised that they turn over the suspect to the police so that they can file charges.

The spokesperson thanked journalists in his narration for a job well done in covering the arrest of criminals in Lagos State.
