After the primaries, Inuwa vowed to back Radda in a news conference.

However, things did not go as planned as followers of the two camps started leveling allegations.

To woo Inuwa to their parties, the vice presidential candidates for the Labour Party, Datti Baba Ahmed, and the APC, Kashim Shettima, each paid him a visit.

Prior to the general elections in 2023, the PDP and New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) leadership contacted Inuwa.
