Governor of Rivers State Nyesom Wike declared on Wednesday that the crisis roiling the People’s Democratic Party will not deter him from taking revenge on those who have harmed him (PDP).

The PDP chieftain added that although he is a Christian, he is not the born-again sort who will take slaps on his two cheeks. He has been at odds with the party leadership and Atiku Abubakar, the party’s presidential nominee.

“I will blow your head off,” said the Rivers State Governor while speaking during the birthday celebration of his Abia State counterpart, Okezie Ikpeazu.

The governor of Abia State is a peaceful man who follows the Bible text that says to turn the other cheek when someone slaps you, according to Wike, who spoke at the ceremony.

If someone slaps him, Wike claimed he would sooner strike back than turn the other cheek. The contentious PDP governor threatened to blow off the skull of anyone who gave him a slap.

“Ikpeazu is a quiet man and a born-again Christian; I’m not a born-again Christian. I’m a Christian but not a born-again Christian.

“I told Ikpeazu; they said if they slap you turn the other side, but me, if you slap me here; I don’t know if I would survive the other side. So, I will blow your head off,” Wike said.

According to Anaedoonline.ng, Wike and his group of four other PDP governors have not given up their demand that Iyorchia Ayu, the party’s national chairman, resign.

The governors, including Wike, Ikpeazu, Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State, and Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, have emphasized that a specific region should not give the PDP’s presidential candidate and the National Chairman despite the party’s ambitious plan to return to power in 2023.
