The Department of State Services (DSS) was urged on Friday by the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) to follow court orders and free its leader Nnamdi Kanu.
In response to the terror alert issued by the embassies of the US, UK, Canada, and Australia, the organization urged the Federal Government to free Kanu since Abuja might be on the verge of falling into the hands of sponsored terrorists.
According to Anaedoonline.ng, the terror attack directories had issued a warning that popular gathering spots like government buildings, houses of worship, schools, and stadiums might become targets.

Despite a court judgment ordering his release, the IPOB activist is detained at the DSS facility in Abuja during a terror alert.
The spokesman for IPOB, Emma Powerful, said in a statement regarding the ongoing detention of its leader amid warnings of potential unrest in the nation’s capital: “The attention of the global family and movement of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), ably led by the great leader Mazi Nnamdi KANU, has been drawn to the possible fall of Abuja to the Nigerian state-sponsored terrorists in the coming days.
“The US and UK security intelligence reports concerning the fall of Abuja and Nigeria to the terrorists are real, but Nigeria compromised security agencies, particularly their Military and DSS, are busy chasing armless and peaceful citizens of Biafra in Biafraland.
“The ability and preparedness of the Nigeria security forces, especially the Military (Army, Navy & Airforce) to defend the territorial borders of Nigerian has been greatly sabotaged and deteriorated to a level that will allow any foreign invader to walk into Nigeria’s capital with little or no resistance from the military.

The group said that the Nigerian government had set up terrorists in Abuja to take control of the city once they felt their prospects of winning the next election were in jeopardy.
Powerful likened the purported takeover to the Afghan invasion’s commando-style tactics.
The organization was said to be aware that the Federal Government, which they asserted is under the influence of the Fulanis, would be turning over control of Nigeria to some sponsored terrorists, according to the statement.
According to IPOB, their leader, Kanu, sought to warn others about the purported intentions and was aware of them, but several Biafran elites and other ethnic groups ignored him and ignored his call for the division of Nigeria.
Speaking further, the group warned those who were residing in Abuja would have themselves to blame if they refuse to heed the warning.
