Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s (LP) nominee for president, recently paid a visit to Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi, a well-known imam.
As part of their rumored preparations for the 2023 presidential race, Obi and his running companion, Dr. Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed, paid a visit to the cleric.

The LP candidate said they visited the cleric at his apartment in Bauchi State on Friday via posting on his Twitter account.
He wrote: “While in Bauchi, Dr. Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed and I called on Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi. -PO”
Nollywood actor-turned-politician Kenneth Okonkwo, however, has proclaimed that Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP) is the one to beat in the 2023 presidential election.
Okonkwo stated on Channels TV Politics Today on Thursday that it is clear Obi is the one Nigerians want and that others are only competing to increase the number of candidates.
When asked by the presenter whether the Labour Party candidate would lose the 2023 presidential election, Okonkwo responded that it is only possible if Nigerians permit vote-stealing fraud at the polls.
