Bola Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress presidential candidate, has informed supporters that mentioning famous actress and PDP Lagos governorship running partner Funke Akindele in his presence is demeaning.
Mr Tinubu is supporting current APC Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for reelection.
At a political rally in Lagos on Wednesday, his followers sang a campaign song in which they contrasted Ms Akindele to Mr Tinubu’s preferred candidate, Mr Sanwo-Olu.

“Who is Funke Akindele before Sanwo-Olu of Lagos? She is an ant,” the supporters sang.
“Don’t even bother to mention her name in my presence. It is an insult. It is disrespectful,” Mr Tinubu replied disdainfully.
