Festus Keyamo, the Chief Spokesman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council, has confirmed that the campaign rallies slated for Anambra and Imo States have been rescheduled.

The APC Presidential Campaign Council altered the dates in a new itinerary and program of activities announced on Friday night, according to Anaedoonline.ng.

The Council said that the rally and zonal stakeholders’ meeting originally scheduled for Monday, November 21, in Imo State, has been rescheduled for Tuesday.

In response to the news, Keyamo told Newsmen that the dates had been changed for whatever reason other than the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).

Keyamo stated that the APC will not give life to non-state entities intent on damaging the South East’s and the country’s economies.

The ruling party intends to campaign across the country for its presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, and his running mate, Kashim Shettima, according to the Minister of State for Labour and Employment.

As a result, Keyamo maintained that the timetable was a working draft that the council may change at any time.

He said, “That is not true. We are not running away from anybody or a group. As I earlier told you, the timetable is just a working document that can be amended anytime.

“As the ruling party, our plan is to cover the entire country. We should not be seen as giving oxygen to non-state actors.”

However, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has set dates for campaign rallies and other political engagements in the South-East.
