According to several sources, popular Nigerian gospel musician Sammie Okposo died in the early hours of Friday.
According to sources, the musician, who was recently in the news due to a cheating scandal, collapsed and died at his home on Friday morning.

Okposo sparked outrage earlier this year when he took to his verified Instagram profile to apologize to his wife, Ozioma, for cheating on her with another lady in the United States in a 2021 incident.
As a result of the scandal, the singer decided to take a break from ministry to retrace his steps with God before returning to ministry after a few months.
In May of this year, the veteran musician almost avoided death in a horrific vehicle accident while driving on Lagos’ 3rd mainland bridge, but Okposo claimed he was “saved from the hands of the devil and his associates.”
