The Senate has received a letter from the president, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retired), requesting that some previous deputy governors of the Central Bank of Nigeria be rescreened and confirmed.
The request was made in a letter that was read aloud on the Senate floor during Tuesday’s plenary session by Senate President Ahmad Lawan. Aisha Ahmad and Edward Adamu were up for re-confirmation by Buhari as CBN deputy governors.
In a related letter, the president asked the Senate to consider Ambassador Ayuba Ngbako of the Federal Capital Territory for appointment to the Revenue Mobilization Allocation and Fiscal Commission and then to confirm her appointment.

Buhari, according to the President of the Senate, sent the proposal pursuant to section 121 of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (1999) as amended for the kind consideration of the Senate.
