Mr. Olu Idika, 75, has been charged with defiling a little girl and her pals in Edo State’s Ikhin Community, part of the Owan East local government area.
Idika was reportedly caught in the act last Wednesday and transported to Otuo police station before being nabbed at his residence in Ikhin. But on Friday, he was freed on bail.
The child’s mother left to go report at the station, so he was beaten up by other irate neighborhood members until the police showed there to pick him up.

He was apprehended once more in Benin on Monday and taken to the Ugbor police station.
The young woman later revealed to investigators that she was not the only victim of the sexual assaults.
She claimed that she had also taken her friends—particularly her classmates—to the man who had access to their sexual information for N100.
According to additional accounts, the girl’s medical records revealed significant illnesses in her private areas.
According to information obtained by Anaedoonline.ng, Women of Inestimable Value, a nonprofit organization, has chosen to get involved in the case and make sure the offender is ultimately prosecuted.

In a related occurrence, Newsmen reported last Monday that police had detained a 75-year-old man named only as Sunday for allegedly having an unborn child in the state who was 13 years old.
Ikenga Tochukwu, the state’s police spokesperson, claimed that the victim and the infant had been turned over to the Anambra State administration.
