Developing Story: Police Hunt For Man Sharing Marijuana With Infant

The Nigeria Police Force has said that it will detain an unidentified guy for allegedly exchanging a substance with a newborn in a widely circulated video that was thought to be marijuana.

Ikeokwu Chidozie, a Twitter user, tweeted a video of the man smoking what appears to be a wrap of marijuana and pushing it into the newborn girl’s mouth.

Nigerians were outraged by the footage, so they turned to Twitter to demand the man in the video be arrested, tagging the Nigeria Police Force, the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, and other security agencies.

The Twitter user, Chidozie, wrote, “When and how did we get here as a society? Egbon, @Princemoye1 please we need this guy prosecuted and the accomplice too.

“Haba! Remember when Iya Kudu (a neighbour) will spank us for misdemeanor as kids but now the society is empty. Cc: @ndlea_nigeria.”

The Police Force Spokesperson, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, responded to the development by announcing that the force would arrest the guy in question and urging Nigerians with knowledge about him to come forward.

Adejobi also bemoaned the country’s level of social degradation and urged moms to be watchful and selective about who they left their kids with.

He said, “Now, u will agree with me, to an extent, that our problems in Nigeria are grossly connected to social decadence. Every problem in Nigeria today is tailored to one societal issue or the other. If we address our societal problems, our general problems in Nigeria are 80% solved.
