Instagram, a well-known social media site, has announced substantial changes to its home screen beginning in February 2023.

The ‘Shop’ tab would be removed from the platform’s home screen as part of the adjustments, according to a Monday update from the Meta-owned platform.

People can simply buy goods from platform vendors by using the “Shop” option.

Instagram stated that despite the removal, store owners would still be able to set up and operate on the platform.

Another change on Instagram would be a shortcut for creating reels and content.
According to the statement, the changes were to help people connect with their friends and interests easier.

The update read, “Starting in February, we are changing Instagram’s navigation to make it easier for people to share and connect with their friends and interests.

“The navigation bar at the bottom of the app will now have the shortcut for creating content in the center and Reels to the right.

“As part of this change, the Instagram Shop tab will be removed.

“You will still be able to set up and run your shop on Instagram as we continue to invest in shopping experiences that provide the most value for people and businesses across feed, stories, reels, ads and more.”
