On Tuesday in Damaturu, Yobe State, President Muhammadu Buhari claimed he is an orphan and has never met his father, but was joined in the Nigerian Army since he attended school.

Additionally, President Buhari asked eligible voters in the state and the northeastern region of the nation to guarantee that Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the presidential candidate of his party, wins the upcoming general elections.

At a presidential campaign event for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Damaturu’s August 27 Stadium, he made this statement.

He declared that the APC-led administration is more motivated than ever to combat anyone who poses a threat to Nigeria’s unity in light of the triumph against terrorists in the area.

The President spoke to the enormous throng in Hausa and described how Boko Haram had harmed people, their property, and the economy before being completely destroyed by the Nigerian Armed Forces and other security forces.

The President emphasized the importance of education in Yobe, telling parents and guardians: “Make sure you send your children to school and make them understand that whatever you have in this world can be taken away from you except the knowledge you have in your head.” This was done to counter the vile ideology of Boko Haram.

‘‘I was an orphan; I did not know my father. I spent nine years in a boarding school and because of education I was enlisted into the Nigerian Army.

‘‘I want you to strengthen your faith, try your best to uphold the children and family God has entrusted to you. Do not betray that trust.”

President Buhari urged the APC candidates running as the party’s candidates in the upcoming general elections to guarantee good administration and not let down the voters.
