Felisberto Sampaio, a priest from Brazil, and his wife, Inalda, were killed while attempting to save their 13-year-old son, Ian, from drowning.
The family’s vacation to Camaçari Beach in Joo Pessoa, Paraba, took a turn for the worse when they spotted their son struggling in the sea.
According to the Daily Mail UK, the pair plunged into the ocean in an attempt to save the teenager.
Unfortunately, the parents were unable to locate their son in the river.
Local fishermen and a family member rescued Ian, who then went back for the boy’s parents and dragged them into their boat.

Paramedics performed CPR on Filiberto, 43, and his wife, 42, before declaring them dead at the site.
The incident happened on Tuesday, January 10, 2023, according to the report.
