In Jigawa State, the Labour Party, LP, has chastised its former governorship candidate, Com. Abdullahi Tsoho Garba, for saying that he, along with all the party’s candidates and executives, defected to the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.
Alhaji Isyaku Aliyu, chairman of the Jigawa State Party, revealed this while briefing reporters at the party’s headquarters in Dutse.
“The assertion by our former gubernatorial candidate, Comrade Abdullahi Tsoho Garba, that he and our other candidates had joined APC is false,” he says.

According to Isyaku, the former gubernatorial candidate defected alone, without the support of any candidate or party executive, “over false APC promises.”
“Our party is intact from polling units, political wards, local government areas and State level,” he said.
According to the chairman, the party has previously chosen Alhaji Suleman Abdul’aziz as a replacement in accordance with the party’s constitution and election law.
