Prof. Anthony Eze, a lecturer in the Faculty of Education at Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka, Anambra State (UniZik), has reportedly been killed by unknown gunmen.
According to reports, the varsity don was driving his children to school on Tuesday morning when the terror group stormed his home and began fire on him.
According to a neighborhood source, Eze attempted to flee the area but was pursued and gunned down.
The attackers were claimed to have arrived to Eze’s house in a Toyota Corolla saloon car.

“We were here this morning when Dr. Eze was driving out of his house, and suddenly a Toyota Corolla saloon car pulled towards the entrance of his house, and when he tried to drive back, they followed him and shot him in the chest. We ran away.
“We rushed him to the General Hospital, Amaku, and the doctor at the hospital confirmed that he was dead,” Newsmen quoted an eyewitness saying.
